Shipping and In Store Pickup

Allegro Dance Boutique is pleased to offer FREE Standard Ground shipping within the 50 United States via USPS on all orders over $100.  Under $100 we charge a flat rate of $9.95 to ship to the United States. Allegro utilizes USPS for our eCommerce Shipping. Standard Ground Shipping will result in most packages to addresses in the contiguous US arriving in 3-6 business days.  We will ship USPS flat rate packages to Hawaii and Alaska but these may take longer than the above mentioned 3-6 days.

During this difficult time we are pleased to offer free shipping to all USA locations on all orders over $25.00.  We will evaluate the duration of this offer as events unfold with the COVID-19 pandemic.

In Store Pickup

For our local customers we also offer free in store pickup.  The standard pickup location for eCommerce orders is our Barrington Boutique.  We are also happy to transfer your order for pickup in our Evanston Boutique location.

We are pleased to restart curbside pickup at both our locations.  Please contact us directly to schedule a time for your pickup.

International Shipping

During this troubled time we are reluctantly halting shipments to Canada.  We intend to resume serving the Canadian market as soon as possible.

We currently only ship internationally to Canada.  Our International Shipping Policies are as follows:

  • Prices are shown in US Dollars. For conversion we recommend using a Currency Converter.
  • Any import duties, taxes, VAT, handling or brokerage fees, or customs clearance charges, due at the time of delivery are the sole responsibility of the receiving customer. We do not collect these fees beforehand and suggest you understand the anticipated fees and process for clearance in your location. Packing slips for international customers will not be marked as a gift or with altered prices.
  • Certain bulky items will not be shipped internationally.  These items are specifically noted in the items descriptions and include but are not limited to:
    • Oversize Bags
    • Balance board
    • Foot Stretcher
    • Flex Express
    • Yoga Wheel
    • The Stick
  • Allegro utilizes USPS to ship all items to Canada.  The customer is notified and provided tracking information at the time of shipment.  We offer flat rate shipping to Canada for $29.95.  In the event that the total order exceeds $300 Allegro waives the shipping fee. 



All returns have been temporarily halted.  We must be able to assure our customers that the products they purchase have not been previously shipped to others.  We will evaluate the resumption of returns as soon as practical. 

We will accept returns within 30 days of purchase. If more than 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. Please note that refunds do not include the cost of shipping merchandise back to Allegro Dance Boutique. Please allow 1-5 business days for the processing of your refund from the time your product(s) are received and approved. All refunds are for merchandise only. Shipping charges are non-refundable.

Items may be returned to the Allegro Dance Boutique retail locations in Evanston and Barrington, Illinois for credit or exchange. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Several types of goods may not be returned. We do not accept returns on tights, undergarments, or makeup, as these products are intimate or sanitary goods. We will not accept returns on any pointe or ballet shoe that has been sewn. Once a product is sewn it may not be returned. 

Sale and clearance items
Only regular priced items may be returned, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Special orders
Special orders and customized items are not returnable or refundable. This includes customized pointe shoes, logo gear, and other personalized items. 

YUMIKO brand
No returns or exchanges may be processed on YUMIKO brand products. All YUMIKO products are final sale whether purchased in store or online.

Gift cards
Some health, fitness, and personal care items

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable)
Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund you may want to first check your bank account or credit card account. 
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift card will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he or she will find out about your return.

Exchanges (if applicable)

You will be responsible for paying the shipping costs for returning your item. If you paid for express shipping on your original order those shipping costs are non-refundable.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We can’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
