Green smoothies, while they may sound intimidating and a bit disgusting, are one of my absolute favorite things to drink. They are perfect for in between meals or before dance class, and they really fill you up! I especially love to drink them in the warmer months.

What you will need:
1/2 cup frozen mango
1/2 cup frozen pineapple
1 cup frozen kale or spinach (frozen or fresh)
1 cup coconut water (I like Zico brand)
Optional: A spoonful or two of yogurt, to add a creamier texture
All you have to do is put all these ingredients in the blender for 30-60 seconds, pour, and enjoy! The great thing about green smoothies is that you can experiment and put your own twist on them by adding new combinations of fruit and veggies. Citrus and avocado, anyone? The possibilites are pretty much endless, meaning you don’t have to drink the same thing all the time.
