You know the feeling when you discover something new, and it makes you feel incredible, inspired, and brightens up your day with new ideas and possibilities? As dancers and artists, I think it’s important that we constantly strive for more and more knowledge, creativity, and motivation to keep us continually improving. I am going to be sharing some of my favorite new things- from books to workshops, video clips to companies- to bring a fresh perspective and hopefully inspire you as an artist.

Today, I want to share with you the miraculous, innovative contemporary company based out of Boise, Idaho, Trey McIntyre Project. Started by Trey McIntyre, John Michael Schert, and Anne Mueller, the company officially began in 2008, and since has been performing and touring all over.

Personally, I really love the style and vibe this company gives off, and I encourage you to learn more about them when you get the chance! Their whole website, especially their blog is chock-full of information, plus a whole lot more links! Also, this Dance Magazine article gives a more detailed perspective.

I really hope this has inspired you to explore further into the marvelous artistic world of dance! Leave any comments, questions, or future requests below to let me know your opinions as well!

Thanks very much for the support and the kind words, Maxine! Always thrilled to know when we’ve really connected with someone. Hope to see you next time we come through the Chicago area.

You’re welcome, Brian! And thank you for taking the time to read it! I cannot wait to see the company perform live the next time you tour here.
